Yes, that is the one and only Elvin Jones with Charlie in the picture above.  Elvin was one of Charlie’s mentors and a great source of inspiration. 

I have had a really difficult time getting started on this project.  But must start somewhere.  The other day I stumbled upon some digitized tracks from around 1975 that were originally recorded on an old real to real tape at the long gone, Stuart Little’s night club.   The group consisted of Patti Coyle – vocals & flute, Joey Santora – keyboards, Charlie – drums and me on the old German Flatback.

Here are a few tracks that I re-mastered a bit for your enjoyment.
