The Mike Kaupa Quintet performed at the Lewiston Jazz Festival back in August 2013.  The quintet featured Chris Ziemba on piano,  Bruce Johnstone on Baritone Sax and Flute, Dan Hull Drums, Bud Fadale String Bass and of course, Mike Kaupa on Trumpet and Flugelhorn.   Always love getting the call to play with my dear old friend Mike Kaupa.   Not only is he an absolute joy to play behind but, he always brings the most incredible keyboard players with him.   In this case, one of my very favorite young players, the ever so fantastic, Chris Ziemba.   A memorable performance indeed.
